TIM DANIS

Chairman & Chief
Executive Officer

Tim Danis is the Chairman and CEO of Risk Consulting Partners. He is responsible for determining the firm’s strategic direction.

He was formally the Chairman and was a founder of RCP Advisors, the largest independent fund of funds with more than $5 billion in assets under management. He was Vice Chairman at Aon Risk Services of the Americas where his responsibilities included direct oversight of a large portion of the United States operating divisions.
Mr. Danis served on the boards of both Aon Risk Services of the Americas and Aon Risk Services Worldwide. Prior to joining Aon, Mr. Danis served as Chief Executive Officer of Corroon and Black of Missouri.

In addition to his role at Risk Consulting Partners, Mr. Danis is a Senior Advisor to the investment firms Rising Tide and Sheridan Legacy. He is also a past board member of American Industrial Partners, Chief Executive Organization and currently serves on the board of Cancer Treatment Centers of America and Chicago Pacific Partners. Previously, he has served on the boards for Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, Tyco Toys, The Shedd Aquarium, The Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, Commerce Banks, and Maryville University. He is the past Chairman of the Board of Loyola University of Chicago Business School.

Mr. Danis received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from St. Louis University and his Master of Business Administration from Loyola University. He attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business for Strategic Planning and obtained his CPCU designation.

TODD DILLON

Executive Managing Director

Todd Dillon is serving as the Chief Operating Officer for Risk Consulting Partners and works from our St. Louis office.  With over 30 years of industry experience. Mr. Dillon’s time and energy is focused on leading the day to day operations of the firm as well as supporting our Client Service Team in order to provide best in class service to our valued clients. Mr. Dillon is also providing assistance in developing new business opportunities for the firm with particular focus on Private Equity.

Prior to joining Risk Consulting Partners, Mr. Dillon was a Senior Account Executive with Aon Risk Services in St. Louis. He spent 22 years with the firm, primarily in client and relationship management. He has significant experience in supporting Private Equity clients and their investments in manufacturing,  healthcare, media, glass, steel, copper, coal mining, media, food, inland river transportation, chemicals, oil, marine, agribusiness and nutraceuticals. Prior to joining Aon, he served as the Risk Manager for Zeigler Coal Holding Company in Fairview Heights, Illinois. He also served in a risk management capacity for Consolidated Grain and Barge Company in St. Louis for 12 years after beginning his career with the Ralston Purina Company.

Mr. Dillon is active in supporting the National MS Society and has been a significant fundraiser for the St. Louis chapter for the past 15 years. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Kansas.

WARREN DUNNEGAN

Executive Managing Director

Warren Dunnegan is Executive Managing Director of Risk Consulting Partners’ St. Louis office and leads the Construction Practice for the firm.  Mr. Dunnegan has more than thirty years of insurance experience specializing in the contracting trade.

Prior to joining Risk Consulting Partners, Mr. Dunnegan was Vice President of NEC Insurance, Inc. and during his tenure, he developed their construction practice from the ground up. He began his career in 1987 with Wausau Insurance Companies where he spent five years developing his skills in all facets of the insurance market.

He is on the membership committee at Sunset Country Club, a basketball coach for CYC, and is a supporting member of The Land Improvement Contractor Association, SITE Improvement Association, and Associated General Contractors​. He earned an Associate of Science in Business Administration and Management at Jefferson College. He continued his studies at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.

HEATHER GARDERE

Executive Managing Director and Chief Growth Officer

Heather Gardere is Chief Growth Officer of Risk Consulting Partners. Ms. Gardere is responsible for business development across all geographies, recruiting, developing, and retaining key people, client service and the overall growth and success of the firm.

Prior to joining Risk Consulting Partners, Ms. Gardere founded and was President of Crestone Risk Management, a specialty insurance broker in Dallas. Her firm focused on executive liability including directors and officers, errors and omissions, fiduciary, crime and other related exposures.

Ms. Gardere began her career over twenty years ago at Corroon and Black in Boston as part of the management training program. Ms. Gardere then joined Aon Risk Services in Chicago as the national practice liaison for voluntary benefits. She was the top producer in 1999 and 2000, in a group of more than 100 sales associates. Ms. Gardere moved to Dallas to join Chase Bank. While there, she led the Treasury Management division in sales for the state of Texas working with middle market businesses. She joined Lockton Companies in Dallas focusing on large corporate opportunities and complex risk management strategies. Ms. Gardere received her Bachelor of Arts in both Political Science and Psychology from Saint Louis University.

JIM MYER

Executive Managing Director

Jim Myer is an Executive Managing Director of Risk Consulting Partners’ St. Louis office, and leads the firm’s Private Equity Risk Consulting practice.  Jim has more than twenty five years in the insurance industry with significant experience in the Private Equity space, as well as a variety of other industry sectors.

Prior to joining RCP, Jim was Vice President and Senior Sales Executive at Wells Fargo Insurance Services.  Previously, Jim spent fifteen years helping Private Equity firms as Senior Director of Aon’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group, conducting business nationwide.  He also started a St. Louis office and was Managing Director for Krauter & Company, a national brokerage firm specializing in risk management and insurance needs of Private Equity firms.  Jim started his insurance career with Corroon & Black (subsequently Willis) in 1986.

Jim is a longtime board member and past President of the Gateway Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  He is involved in a variety of charitable boards and activities in St. Louis.

Jim received his Bachelor of Arts with Honors from the University of Colorado.

PHIL PICCHIETTI

Chief Financial Officer

Phil Picchietti is currently Chief Financial Officer for Risk Consulting Partners and works in the Chicago Office. Coming from 29 years as CFO for Cancer Treatment Centers of America and a Family Business Office, Mr. Picchietti held various executive level financial leadership roles in accounting, financial reporting, planning and analysis, treasury, compliance, internal controls, systems review and development, revenue cycle, supply chain and audit. He previously worked as Assistant Controller for Roanoke Insurance Agency as well as Accountant/Financial Analyst for Combined Insurance Company of America and Ryan Group, prior to the formation of AON.

Mr. Picchietti attended Marquette University & Western Illinois University to achieve his Financial Degree. Then he went on to obtain a Masters in Accountancy from DePaul University.

He is active in cancer research fund-raising activities for Gateway for Cancer Research and financial assistance programs for cancer patients at Midwestern Regional Medical Center.

PAUL SCHULTES

Executive Managing Director

Paul Schultes spent 22 years with the firms that make up Towers Watson and Aon Hewitt. During that time, Paul held a number of roles. He led a Health and Benefits Practice, helping clients with benefit strategy design and management. He has assisted clients in design and implementation of benefit administration systems. Paul also held the role of Local Office Leader where he was responsible for providing excellent service across all practice lines for human resource clients in the Midwest.

Most recently, Paul has assisted clients with strategy deployment of health care exchanges. He is dedicated to providing objective analysis and offering practical recommendations and guidance in a way that allows our clients to achieve the best possible outcomes for their organization and their employees.

Throughout his career, Paul has worked with large organizations both public and private from various industries including: health care, technology, higher education, financial services, manufacturing, retail, food and beverage. Paul has worked with large organizations including: Ascension Health, Boeing, Edward Jones, Emerson Electric, Eastman Chemical and O’Charley’s.

Paul graduated from National Louis University, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management. He also holds a Degree in Finance. He has earned his Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation; is a Fellow of Life Management Institute; and a Health Insurance Associate.
