Risk Consulting Partners


Warren Dunnegan is Executive Managing Director of Risk Consulting Partners’ St. Louis office and leads the Construction Practice for the firm.  Mr. Dunnegan has more than thirty years of insurance experience specializing in the contracting trade.

Prior to joining Risk Consulting Partners, Mr. Dunnegan was Vice President of NEC Insurance, Inc. and during his tenure, he developed their construction practice from the ground up. He began his career in 1987 with Wausau Insurance Companies where he spent five years developing his skills in all facets of the insurance market.

He is on the membership committee at Sunset Country Club, a basketball coach for CYC, and is a supporting member of The Land Improvement Contractor Association, SITE Improvement Association, and Associated General Contractors​. He earned an Associate of Science in Business Administration and Management at Jefferson College. He continued his studies at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.

Tad Gardere has been a professional in this area for over 25 years and brings tremendous experience and value to his clients. Tad began with Aon Corporation in Chicago in 1992 and spent 8 years with Aon Illinois brokering to law firms in Chicago until he moved to Aon Dallas and became responsible for the AICPA plan in Texas. The AICPA plan is the largest program in the nation for accountants and Tad grew the program in Texas over 6 years to be the one of the most profitable in the country. After leaving Aon, Tad worked with agencies in Texas including Dexter & Company and ProTexn, still working exclusively with law firms and accounting firms until 2005 when he formed his own agency, Crestone Risk Management. Tad joined RCP in 2016 when RCP started in Dallas and has developed a significant professional liability practice for the firm.

Tad has a bachelors degree from the University of St. Thomas in Houston.

Tad lives in Dallas with his wife, Heather. They have 2 children.

Curt Engler is Chief Executive Officer of Risk Consulting Partners’ St. Louis.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Engler spent twenty-two years at Aon Risk Solutions in St. Louis. He was an Executive Vice President and Senior Director, Client Relations. Mr. Engler was President and CEO of Frank B. Hall & Co. of Missouri and the Chairman and CEO of several successful local St. Louis brokerage firms. He began his career at Marsh & McLennan in St. Louis and New York.

He is a cofounder of Samuel Cupples House Foundation and St. Louis Firefighters Lifesaving Foundation, as well as a current director of the Transportation Museum and the Psychoanalytic Institute of St. Louis. He is actively involved in organizations throughout St. Louis.

Mr. Engler is a graduate of St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Finance.


Jim Myer is an Executive Managing Director of Risk Consulting Partners’ St. Louis office, and leads the firm’s Private Equity Risk Consulting practice.  Jim has more than twenty five years in the insurance industry with significant experience in the Private Equity space, as well as a variety of other industry sectors.

Prior to joining RCP, Jim was Vice President and Senior Sales Executive at Wells Fargo Insurance Services.  Previously, Jim spent fifteen years helping Private Equity firms as Senior Director of Aon’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group, conducting business nationwide.  He also started a St. Louis office and was Managing Director for Krauter & Company, a national brokerage firm specializing in risk management and insurance needs of Private Equity firms.  Jim started his insurance career with Corroon & Black (subsequently Willis) in 1986.

Jim is a longtime board member and past President of the Gateway Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  He is involved in a variety of charitable boards and activities in St. Louis.

Jim received his Bachelor of Arts with Honors from the University of Colorado.

Susan Randall

Susan Randall is a Senior Vice President with Risk Consulting Partners.

Susan has a mission: to ensure that our client’s total cost of financial, strategic, hazard, & operational risks, including both direct and indirect loss costs, remain at the forefront of her core responsibilities. Her property and casualty background, carrier resources, and overall risk management implementation align with Risk Consulting Partners’ focus on client growth, security, and prosperity.

Susan is an accomplished veteran of the commercial insurance industry. She previously worked as Senior Account Executive at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, which then lead her to become Vice President and producer of Hub International Insurance Services. Her areas of focus include: Providing a full array of competitive vendor markets, Reviews/Audits of coverage to eliminate coverage gaps, Negotiation of insurance pricing, terms & conditions, Structuring of Alternative Risk Financing options, Coordination between insurance carriers and clients, and also offering Employee Benefits Consulting

Susan is an active member in her Dallas Community. She is a member/volunteer of the following organizations: Carry the Load, Dallas Friday Group, Dallas Rotary Group, Greater Dallas Restaurant Association, Heroes, Cops & Kids, North Texas Society of HealthCare Risk Management, Risk Insurance Management Society, University of Missouri Alumni Club, Women’s Finance Exchange, Women’s Foodservice Forum, and the World Affairs Council.

In leading the Life and Business Continuity Planning Practice, Gary brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and leadership to RCP. He has held roles as a “C” level executive and managing partner with top companies including MetLife, New York Life and Mass Mutual.

Particularly his passion has been building organizations that develop consultative sales professionals who meet the ongoing needs of the clients. Gary’s mantra is “our goal is to build long term relationships with ongoing efforts to manage our clients every changing situations.”

After building two highly successful sales organizations that gained national prominence, Gary’s ultimate challenge came in 2006. Over the next decade he lead a team that distributed the highly successful “Retire wise” program for MetLife. Starting from scratch this business venture today does well over a billion in revenue and serves over 2000 companies with financial education and consultative direction.

Joining RCP in its infancy in 2015, Gary continues his passion of building a niche for his specialization within the framework of a “best in class” company. Behind the continuous development of his business is the ever present desire for personal growth. A graduate of Harding University. Gary has received professional designations for CLU and CHFC from the American College of Financial Services in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, as well as certification from the Executive Strategy Series at Harvard Business School in Boston. He also has been a participant of Strategic Coach and Connect to the Core based in Toronto.
Active in the Life Insurance industry as a leader and advocate, Gary served 10 years on the board of GAMA International becoming President in 2000. Subsequently he became chairman elect of the LIFE Foundation in Washington D.C. and also served as a board member for several years.

He and his wife Dianne enjoy their charitable work with both special needs and mental health issues focused on children. They reside in Plano, Texas as proud parents, grandparents and the guardians of three rescue dogs.

Scott Uhl is the National Practice Leader of the Executive Risk unit at Risk Consulting Partners, LLC. Scott’s core placement and consulting focus is on Directors, Officers and Corporate Securities Liability (D&O), Technology Errors & Omissions, Information Security & Cyber/Privacy Liability, Professional Errors and Omission Liability, Employment Practices Liability, and Fiduciary Liability. He has direct access to both the domestic and the Lloyd’s of London marketplaces. Scott regularly speaks and writes on management and professional liability matters.

Prior to joining RCP, Scott served was a Senior Vice-President at EWI Re’s Specialty Casualty wholesale underwriting and captive reinsurance units. Earlier assignments include serving as the Practice Leader of Lockton Financial Services Governance Risk Management Group and Technology unit, based in Silicon Valley and Dallas, as the Western U.S. Underwriting Manager for Liberty International underwriting D&O, EPLI, Fiduciary and Financial Institutions unit, and as the Branch Manager and lead IPO management liability underwriter at American International Group (NYSE: AIG) and as a Risk Manager for CLP Resources (NYSE: TBI).

Scott earned his Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Chico in Economic Geography and attended graduate school at the University of California. Scott was the Southwest Regional Director of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM), is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriters Society (PLUS) and Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS). From 2006-2012, Scott served two-terms on the Advisory Board of the National Association of Corporate Director, North Texas Chapter. He regularly lectures at the University of Texas, Dallas (UTD) Department of Risk Management.

When left to his own devices, Scott can usually be found doing something outdoors with his kids, watching the history channel or C-Span or searching out live music or running a 5K. Scott is also an Assistant Scout Master (ASM) for BSA Troop 928 at Whites Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake, Texas, and is member of the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Ft. Worth.


With a strong background in client account risk management, property reinsurance, and captive development, Bradway brings over 25 years of energy/clean-energy industry expertise to RCP. He coordinates, manages, and designs renewable energy insurance programs aiding developers, owners, and manufacturers of emerging clean technologies by optimizing the risk to their investors and customers.

Bradway’s experience allows him to understand all facets of clean-technology insurance issues. He was employed for over 15 years as an Energy Account Executive at Johnson & Higgins and Willis Group Holdings, where he managed energy clients particularly in New York, Houston, and London. Moreover, Bradway inter-acted for more than five years as an Energy Broker with Alexander Howden Group into Lloyd’s of London, the world’s leading energy insurance market. Recently, he co-managed the Renewable Energy Group at Marsh & McLennan. He has had extensive international reinsurance experience with energy clients including: PDVSA (an energy corporation owned by the Venezuelan State), Union Pacific Railroad, CITGO, Nippon Oil (State Oil Company of Japan), and, Nunaoil (State Oil Company of Greenland).

Bradway graduated from Boston University. He volunteers once a week as an English tutor in inner city Boston during the school year. He coaches both youth squash and lacrosse teams. Although he is a Boston native, his public service reaches to Philadelphia, where he has participated as a board member for the Arthur Judson Foundation for the Arts. In his leisure time, Bradway enjoys squash, reading non-fiction, and golf. Married 30+ years, he also manages the chaos of four children, and two dogs.
